WH40K is orks, WHFB is orcs. Also, Warcraft orcs ARE Warhammer orcs, Blizzard copied them (Warcraft1 was supposed to be a WH game). And they look cartoonish because that's Blizzard's design style (I'd say it's retarded, but to each his own).

And srsly, comparing juvenile Warcraft lore to LOTR??

WoW players really has nothing to do with it, god chunk of WoW players aren't even RTS players.

    @ d00d

I don't deny its original Origins, but the concept was the same, but I wouldn't call them a copy & paste thing.

However the sequels aren't copies, of course you will see similiarities, just because one game had a good idea, doesn't mean it shouldn't inspire others to do something similar, we will see stuff similar to warhammer, Lotr, w/e decades from now, doesn't make them bad. Infact Warcraft is quite a great series and a great success, including game wise, the RTS was a huge hit and one of the best back in the day, just wait till the sequel

Anyway, my point is, a actual warcraft style Med 2 mod would be amazing

Mr. Prince Valiant, I'd suggest you to try Stainless Steel if you haven't already.

Yes, i tried it, butit still has lots of mistakes, altough Real recruitment-Real combat sub mod for SS is very good improvment, it`s still far from "hardcore" historic mod i look for, but thanks for a reply. I vill try TGC when it comes out.

I'm looking for a mod where you can play as a pagan faction. I've been playing Broken Crescent where you can play both as a pagan or Hindu faction but are there any others? Is there a mod where you can play as a heretic and build heretic temples? I'm pretty much looking for anything where you can play as a different religion rather than the standard Muslim or Christian factions. I'd also like a mod that focuses more on the religion aspect of things. Are there any that allow your faction to convert? I do have Kingdoms by the way.

What's the most historically accurate mod currently available? Preferably including all of Europe instead of specific regions like in BC or FKoC.

Default Historicly acurate mod for M2TW?!

Hy, I consider myself first and foremost a good general in Medieval and other Total war games, there aren`t many players i fought who can say that they have a good score against me, i am also a fairly educated historian, one thing i am not is a computer geek, so i myself am unable to make a mod.
For Rome Total War there vere Ruropa Barbarorum and Rome Total realism.
For Barbarian invasion there was Invasio Barbarorum.
For Empire there is Terra Incognita.
What there isn`t is a real acurate "Hardcore" historical mod for Medieval, with real historical units for each era and nation as they were.
Why is that? Is that so hard? It was done for antiqe era, why is medieval period so much harder?
Most mods corrected some errors, but they stoped there, and sometimes replaced old inacuracies with new ones.
There is Lord of the rings mod, and a mod that introduces role playing elements (World of Warcraft nostalgy or what ever).
There are good mods for M2TW out there, don`t get me wrong. Just not what i would like...
    Does anyone share my opinion?

Well, I've looked around for this too. There used to be a Medieval Total Realism mod in production, but the production team sort of just drifted apart and no one's picked it up.

Actualy, thats the mod i`m curently playing, it`s exelent in all but one aspect-units, some improvments have been made, but there is still a lot of mistakes, for example: gendarmes and demi-lancers for everybody! in late era, etc.
Still an impresive work non the less, but incomplete in my opinion.
