Which mod you think makes AI best especially in the campaign map - like to deffend important cities and castles and try to conquer important one ?
Good realistic element will be to keep alliances but when its possible to break them - for the important regions ( cities ) or just very rarely randomly...
ofcourse when not too engaged in war with somebody..
Realistic battle model is good thing too ..;-p)
Greetings to everybody who enjoy with modding !
Hey all! glad to be a new member of the forum, I was wondering if there are any mods that add any new factions to the game (med2)?
I saw something about adding the Flemish but any other new factions would be nice too!
Im pretty new to these games and just recently thought about mods for them.. I see the upcoming expansion will have a crusades campaign, but seeing as im a lil impatient, are there any mods out there that focus on the crusades? Ideally i'd like to see a templar faction, but any mod that focuses more on the crusades would do. preferrably a realistic take on them. But again.. any crusades mod is worth having a look at. I'd appreciate any link or whatnot you may have
Well you are in luck

Shine on you crazy diamond...
I know that the best campaign AI mod is the Ultimate AI. Check out that sub-forum and see if it covers what you want.
i'm currently playing a own modded version of dlv3.
i'm happy at the moment but the thing is that there are no good battle ai mods for 1.2 + dlv out there...
TLR has a modified battle ai but i think it's especially for the animation-balanced units..isnt it?
what's with darth's mod? can somebody give me a update?
The best battle AI mod is contained within Darth Mod. I can't remember all he did but the battles are really improved, soldiers react better to various situations, they attack faster almost like in real life, archers have improved fire rate, and so on and so on. Check out his (((Open Source DarthMod))) thread for full details.
As far as epic campaigns go, you guys need to try The Long Road by tornnight, it has an entire mercenary area of recruiment system in it, a totally rebalanced economy and a lot more, including new general/governor trait system.
definitely worth checking out a new release is on it's way soon too

Any mods that add forts (mini castles) to the game like in Kingdoms?

Hi, I used to just pick a mod randomly and try it out but I just wanted to try this out instead.
I'm looking for a mod that:
- is well done
- is rather historically accurate
- doesn't change all of M2TW's base gameplay*
- could have extra provinces
- could add extra factions
- has awesome AI* (not too hard)
- adds a bunch of titles and or traits*
I'm very open to change but I've starred the most important aspects. Could anyone here recommend a quality mod based on these requests?
Hi anyone know of any planned mods to cover the time between lets say year 0 and barbarian invasion? theres about 400 years in there of change and evolution of the roman empire and many wars and so on? i reckon it would make a good subject....
and a lot of work
the testudo formation has been removed from the game (sure we could try to put it back in it, but lot of work )
There would be a need to create the models of all units (using the MTW2 models would not be historically correct)
After, there's the problem of the enslave option that has disapeared...
Personnally, if it would not be a huge amount of work for someone alone, and if I had the programs to do it, I would try that...
But... I can't create models... so, at least for me, case closed

Current Mod for S2TW: Sengoku Unit Cards
attack-money, I'd recommend Deul lo Vult, it satisfies most of your criteria.
Me myself, I'm looking for a mod with minor changes to the gameplay, but with a huge map. Any suggestions?
Here's the biiiiig map you've been looking for!

I'd like a mod that adds titles, provinces and/or factions, but doesn't change stuff like army upkeep and construction time (DLV).
I'm leaning towards SS or BBB with 1.02.
So far they have just caused crashes
