Our faction leader, Sultan Al-Mustansir, passes away in hospital on January 3rd aged 66.
Crown Prince Mubarak is now Sultan Mubarak.
Moussa, son of Sultan Mabarak is now Crown Prince Moussa.

The council of nobles has given our new Sultan the task of taking the rebel castle of Aleppo, perhaps to prove he has the command qualities needed to lead the great nation of Egypt?
Aleppo is beseiged later in the year by Sultan Mubarak.
Our diplomats have successfully negotiated an alliance and trade rights with the Papal States.
1114 AD
The Holy Crusade has failed!
This is great news for Egypt, and our lands are safe for the time being.
Maybe our new alliance with the Pope had something to do with this?

1115 AD - Battle of Aleppo

After a lengthy battle the Sultan has taken the rebel castle of Allepo for Egypt. He takes great pleasure in maiming and killing the enemies of Egypt, and is reminded of how much his brother loved to torture and kill.
1116 AD
The council of nobles has rewarded the Sultans capture of Aleppo with 2500 florins.
As the sun sets on the year of 1116 AD, the Sultans eyes are on the city of Antioch in the east. This is the city he vowed his dead brother that he would take. He vows to not return home unless he takes this city for the defense of Egypt, and to honour his dead brother.
