"show_banners" keeps resetting

ok so i've made it equal to 0 since i didn't want a cartoonish-looking battle with big, bobbing flags.

however, i learned that there's a way to just make the fags smaller in the descr_banner_new.xml file located in the data folder courtesy of demokritos. so i changed the show_banners value back to 1. the problem is, it keeps resetting the value back to 0! and yes i've saved every time. help?

After you make the change, close the file, right click on it and select properties and make sure read only is checked. the changes should not revert.
