Do you really hate the entire mod in its entirety or is it just that one thing that bothers you?

Becuase if its just that one thing you might want to change the title of the thread too "Why I hate Calvary"

Can you elaborate a little for us? How do you use your horsemen? I assume you're speaking about archers/javelins, so could you explain exactly what issues you're facing? It will help us discuss.

i play with ayyubid and my qara-ghulam horsearchers skirmish really good, the enemy never caught them before.

my seljuk HAs keep getting caught by Georgian infantry charges

what happens is one or two HAs will lag behind (unit cohesion problem I think), and when they get caught by the infantry charge the rest will stop and also be caught up in melee

if I'm not paying attention the whole unit goes down

NEVER use skirmish mode!
It doesnt work right, if some men lag behind(thats normal) than just double ckick at the destination as many times-, and as fast as you can, its a very stupid bug, but as sai skirmish mode sucks!
ALWAYS manage the HA, and other skirmishers yourself

Well, actually HA's skirmish behavior works well for me. You should make sure, that you have the latest bugfixes applied.

However, even if something should be wrong with skirmishing, this is not the way, how such an issues should be brought up.
