I might not agree totally with the magnitude of the accusation "that muslims are being insulted all the time", i can understand that we need to need to engage the muslims in the middle east and asia as part of a hearts and minds approach.

we need the muslims. We needed them to invade afghanistan, we needed them to invade iraq, we need them more so now. If we didnt have pakistan or uzbekistan onside, we could have never reached the taliban. If we didnt have the facilities the kuwaits, saudis, qataris and turks provide to us, we couldnt have gone into iraq, and we probably couldnt resupply our troops there. if we take the piss and show hate to muslims, all it will mean is that they will detach themselves from us, unite, and maybe kick our arses (through an oil embargo or even force).

I know their govenrments are lapdogs, but if we piss off their populations enough, they will rise and demand equality. If your a right wing conservative, then this is a bad thing.
