    Default Some generals not mounted?

I'm not sure if this is an RS specific question, but I've noticed that some of my generals are on foot in battle, and some are mounted. I don't want to put my pedestrian generals in the middle of a battle, and they aren't very good at chasing routing enemy troops. Is there a way to give them mounts? How does the game determine which generals are on horseback and which aren't?

All of your family members should be on horses, as should recruited generals.
However, recruited governors will always be on foot. They are designed to govern, not fight.

Oh, yikes. I'm putting my governors in harms way then. Interesting, I think he had more command points than some of my generals. Thanks for the quick response!

Sometimes they can be useful...they're really good against cavalry.

    for Rome:

Family members, Armoured Generals, Praetorian Prefects, and Imperators are on horseback (should be noted the last 3 use late-model and improved bodyguards while family members stay as early bodyguards for now)

Governor generals, Proconsuls, and Praetor Vicarius are on foot (the latter using praetorians as bodyguards)

btw not all generals-on-foot are designed to govern. any general can govern and any general can fight, they just decided to add a bit of realism to the variety: at times there was a foot general in charge of the infantry and a cavalry general in charge of the cavalry, although im sure someone else can explain this in great depth.
