stainless steal & steam 'unspecified error' crash

I did some searching, but couldn't find a definitive answer. I tried adding the log command to the cfg, but nothing happened with it in there.

I start up M2TW via steam (after putting the SS files where they're supposed to be) and get the 'unspecified error and will not quit' box. The SS mod graphic flashed for a moment while loading so I think I installed it correctly-- any ideas what could be wrong?
