There's a trick to it, what you have to do, is....

    1. play the scenario normally, when completed....
    2. go to your C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\temp folder .........
    3. copy the battle.rpy file (this is a replay of the last battle you fought).....
    4. paste the file into the proper replay folder...... each mod (including vanilla) has a individual replay folder..... if it's a Kingdoms Crusades scenario replay, it'll have to go to that mod's replay folder, you can, after inserting into the proper folder...rename the replay.
    5. boot up in the mod the replay is on, and watch.
    6. unfortunately unlike the battle replays of a normal game, with scenario replays you don't get to view the after battle stats...only the replay itself is viewable.

Here's a replay of a battle in my recently created scenario. (with installing instructions)

Everyone This deserves Rep! You just answered question that's been asked around here for a long time in regards to campaign replays and the solution was right under our noses haha!

Well these aren't exactly what you were looking for, these are more play by plays then replays but feel free to comment on them!

Ok now i have freaked you out, and possibly many other people, just wanted to say thanx and that is worth 2 reps for you man.

Hopefully that was enough groveling to show my appreciation.

No prob on the appreciation, I'm honored to have been able to help. Nice to be able to have a scenario replay if you want one.

Hmmm speaking of replays. I had another historical today online with a few of my buddy's. I tryed to warn the guy I was a elephant killer. It was over really quick for his 1 set of elephants. Elephants do rock in a 12k per player 3v3 game. Unfortunately, well I'm not really sure what happened even after reviewing the replay (actually I thought I'd post it in the replays, review and critique the game for educational purposes). I think it would be a good learning tool, was kinda brutal though.

Far as the kissing and stuff, the wife don't let me have boyfriends.
She says I already have one named "Hewlett".
Always accusing me of a menage a trois, with him and some fella named "Packard"

Hope to see you in the game. (Ruprecht, no patty fingers if ya please)

    Haha, it's all good.

I never really thought of playing online with this game, but i hope it is like playing a SP campaign, only with real people. i was thinking if it's co-opable i'm defenetly in.

Well you can play the campaign with real people, but it's not in real time. If you want to play real time you need a gamespy account and you can only fight custom or historical battles together. If you want more info on what everyone calls "hotseat" which is basically the multiplayer campaign click on either one of the first two links in my sig for details. If you have Broken Crescent mod installed on M2 our game I am looking for another substitute player at the moment.

    Cheers

Sort of off topic, but what does a ring represent?

If it's rep, 1 ring= how much rep?

    Edit:
.. eep, just noticed I have a ring.

Hi, I have a problem with the campaign replays. I'm playing vanilla game and the campaign replays wont work. In the temp folder there's two types of replays, battle replay from the custom battles and campaign replay from campaign. However, the campaign replay behaviour is very odd. I put the replay to the replays folder and renamed it but when I load it in the game, the replay immediately stops. There's usually also a village and troops completely different from what were in there real battle. What is wrong?

Well posting this for sparty who's requested in a thread titled "lack of replays", I figure posting um here, may be a better location in the long haul.

I have 3 replays includes instructions and a tutorial screenshoot.

bestof08.rpy A 3v3 very long game. But I felt I'd seen just about every tactical move employed in MTW2 during play. Seen fantastic fighting from all partys, dishearting mistakes as well. I've play a bunch, but this has to be one of my favorites to date for 08. I learn so well from defeat.

alliedefense.rpy A 2v2 in which I though me and my noble allie were dooooomed. This replay shows ya what ya have to do to keep the nafta alive, even though only a single set of the 3 employed really killed anything.
Have to help keep the nafta alive, and my allie rocked on this occasion.

4v4desertseige.rpy I'm getting better at my seige'in this was a monster, 4v4 muslim level 1 city seige. 36k attackers 32k defenders as best I remember.
ton of fun if ya have the patience for it.

so far these are some choice replays I figured I share with sparty and anybody else wanting um.

Best of luck in your battles.
Hope to see you in the game.
