No. A world in which there are 3 countries is possible.

Even then, though, it was three hegemonic powers that worked with eachother to keep their citizens in line. Oceania, Eurasia and East-Asia could almost have been called one country whose regions fight amongst eachother for stability, after all they were clearly more alike eachother than any two countries today, even the US and UK have distinct differences.
Plus, they weren't the only countries in the world, either, we are told nothing of South America or Africa. As Thanatos said it's from Winstons point of view, but more than that it's clearly a Western point of view, too.

Anyway, there's not any possibility for there to be one country on earth as it exists now, even if some crazy person wiped out all other countries then the last country istelf would split apart. What could potentially make a one world= one country sort of thing is if we had an outside intelligent, ongoing threat, sorta like War of the Worlds except it would have to last a lot longer and not end with germs killing them anyway. Think Independance Day meets Star Trek. Or Star Wars. The only way is if there is a clear "us them" mentality. Even then social differences and the language barriers would keep us separated for a while, but all in all I think we're pretty compatable, and if there was a really big thread that lasted for a while I think we'd join together really quickly.

Which is actually what Ronald Reagan said. I don't know why, but he said a speech one time that stated that should there be some outside (way outside) threat all of our "distinctions and separations would disappear in the blink of an eye."

Of course, we don't even know if it's even three countries, since all we ever know is from Winston's viewpoint.

Read the book, the countries named in the book are not any you know, they're more like geographical regions.

    Yes. Great Britain.
According to the Theory of War, which teaches that the best way to avoid the inconvenience of war is to pursue it away from your own country, it is more sensible for us to fight our notorious enemy in his own realm, with the joint power of our allies, than it is to wait for him at our own doors.

Nah. People are too clannish and the centrifugal effects of raw distance too strong for that. Plus it's be an adminstrative nightmare, requiring the delegation of so much stuff to local-level bodies as to make most of them functionally independent entities anyway.

Yes, in future. System - virtual democracy, Pyramid hierarchy, parlament on top existing in virtual space controlled by chosen ones, regional house of representatives, local party (city based).

One became member of virtual parlament trough tests and must poses academy degree. This members are the only ones that don't get payed. They are tested every 4 years but have authority over all regional parlaments etc.
Regional parlaments passes all major legislations to chosen ones. Types of legislations are set by constitution.

Regional parlaments are important as World has many different cultures and there is no possible way to control whole world from one place. Same for local party's as London ans Shanghai are two different places that together have more people then for example Balkan region.

Politics goes beyond cultural values of state. That is why political nonsense is more powerful then culture crux as it have the ability to manipulate mere essence of cultural existence. - Tangro

I personally don't think it is possible now. There are too many different ethnicities that odds are one would slip through the cracks. It would be an administrative nightmare and a lot of areas would probably rebel. There is just way to many factors that could go wrong for their to be a succesful worldwide country.

I wish each continent becomes one federal country.
