Default Massive stuttering, especially during sieges

I am aware that EB is supposed to be more demanding than vanilla due to the scripts, but is it supposed to be more demanding than M2TW?
My PC has E6750 CPU, 2GB ram and 8800GT video card, and it can play M2 on max setting easily.
But I'm getting a massive stuttering during battles in EB, especially during sieges.
In all battles, I get a massive FPS drop when I scroll the camera only when I'm using the keyboard, but not when I'm using the mouse to move the camera.
I can play field battles fine as long as I'm not moving the camera too rapidly or using the keyboard to scroll, but siege is nearly unplayable.
I get many 0.5 second stutters, and the screen freezes for several seconds when the enemy changes formation.
For me the siege in EB with 3000 men is more laggy than a M2 siege with 4000 men.
Is it supposed to be like this?
Or am I experiencing a problem?

With those system stats you shouldn't have that much stuttering.
You could try updating your graphics card drivers...

You're definitely experiencing a problem. I don't think EB is supposed to change the requirements for the battles at all, if not just a little bit. It's mainly the campaign map that features the hit to FPS due to the scripts.

    Defragment, upgrade graphics card drivers.

How much free space is left on your hard drive? If it's only a few gigs, delete some stuff.

The thing is, I had the same problem(lags when scrolling with keyboard) in my old PC as well.
So regarding that problem I'm not sure if I'm facing a "feature" or a "bug".
Can you tell me if your EB stutters when you move the camera on battle by the keyboard?
Also, this only happens when I have the script turned on.
If I'm playing historical battle, custom battle or a campaign without loading the script the scroll lag is gone.
I just want to know if this is normal.

As for the massive stuttering during siege, I have no idea.
Actually my old PC was faster for that!
I'll try installing EB on my brothers PC and see if there is any difference.

    Defragment, upgrade graphics card drivers.
    Done that.
    No noticeable difference.

    I have 150GB left...
    That shouldn't be a problem.

I recommend using modified drivers like these (gave me at least 15+fps on most games). You're in luck too cause he just started tweaking Nvidia drivers again.

    http://www.omegadrivers.net/

I use them for my Radeon1600 and I run the game at 1280x1024, Huge armies, High settings and I only suffer a framerate hit when there are lots of troops (over 3,000 in a battle). Your system specs beat mine in all 3 areas (processor, memory, and graphics card) so you shouldn't really be having a problem.
