1.3 patch: No prior installation was found
Hey guys
I know theres alot of threads about this but none of them seem to solve the dilema I'm having.
Ok so I've installed and re-installed Rome Total war many many times into its default location and in other directories, erased all Rome total war files from my computer then re-installed, downloaded and re-downloaded patch 1.3 from various different sites-latest one being the total war sight. I've also tried renaming the installshield folder installshieldold then tried to run the patch but I'm still getting the "no prior installation to Rome Total war was found" and it exits.
Please is anyone able to help me out with this before I burst a vein in my head.
Cheers

The v1.3 is language specific iirc. Not sure if it has anything to do with it, but have you chosen the right one for your game`s language version?
Also, are you sure your RTW is v1.0? Because it might be v1.5 by default and you`d need no patch. (to check go to the Options menu in game and check the top right corner)
And, if you have RTW v1.0 and also have BI v1.4 on a separate disc install BI and it will also upgrade your RTW to v1.4. That way you skip the RTW v1.3 patch. And if this works and you are trying to get to RTW v1.5 you`ll only need to install the BI v1.6 patch which will also upgrade the RTW to v1.5.
