    W-Shady,
    download the 2 zip files that lusted has included inside the thread, and you can see what he's already found. (Beware some of the instructions have typos and are incomplete, you can beta test them if you like.)
    Just make backups of course

    We are not ready for release yet, as we have gotta make sure everything works for 1.2, and have some unit cards and info cards made, write a few descriptions, assign recruitability to the factions for use in the campaign map, and possibly have some models worked on. (So that spears don't go through shields etc during phalanx formation, and elbows don't stick out of shields when units crouch down in hiding.)

    Good news is that we have alot of work done, and since these models were not used in 1.1, they seem to not have .rum files associated with them from the patch, and so should not conflict with it.

    Can anybody tell me the full code for the roman gothic cavalry?
    Also, I don't know if you already know, in the Alexander expansion there is a different hoplite skin for the slaves, but greek cities have the normal one because their alternate skin is glitchy. The shield and the helmet are messed up. I know Alexander isn't a popular expansion but if anybody has it, there you go. The only real difference is the shield though, it has a cool pattern on it. Also, every faction but the macedonians and persians in the campaign and the indians and greek cities in the custom battles have brown clothes, which could be put in the full game as barbarian/mercenary units?
    I'm just speculating here.

    hey vlad,
    how did you get the scythian spearmen? (I know i could find this out myself but im very busy beta testing )

    Also vlad,
    i tried using the scythian swordsmen with the briton_swords like you said, but there is a bug with the scythian head now. (The briton swordsmen have no helmet, and their hair is poofy...and so the scythian skin with helmet doesn't look right.) Does it work on another model besides the briton swordsmen?

    Hmm, i think thats the model which uses the unit_barb_peltast skins, which are early ones.

    Yeah, i found the greek companion cavalry. Im thinking of adding them in as the generals bodyguard so the greeks, macedonians and seleucids all have them as the late bodyguard. Haven't found a model for the elite archer im afraid.

    as i have said many times in many threads that elite archer tga will fit on the greek crew cas, but the weapons are not right, and the model does not import right to give it a bow.

    I have found what looks like a julii skin for gothic cavalry. Im thinking of including them with them tied to a hidden resource so they can only be produced in the general germany area.

    yeah the visigoth red_tga or somtin like that, ive used the red shield design from that texture in a couple things. good idea with the hidden resourse. the romans used gothic cavalry alot in the declining years of the empire, at one time i was thinking of useing them as a merc unit but never did.

    Well since the romans have such good infantry, and the game doesn't approach anywhere near the declining years, i don't think they really should have access to this gothic cav unit. I thought i already posted these guys, but i guess not. Here's the unit in question; the skin on the regular german gothic units.

    :blush Well, i was wrong. The british (unorthodox) slingers do actually fit on a model, just not the one i tried (that being the barb_slinger model). They go on the model that carthage uses for its slingers, which for some reason, is labeled as "roman". They seem to work fine, just have a blue line down the face. I can see why CA didn't use these guys, because they don't look celtic enough. Still, they are cute.

    Basically this skin is the julii peasant with a shorter tunic (+underwear, shorts or something), an ammo pouch, longer bracers (wristbands) and no cap.

    The UNIT_EAST_HEAVY_CATAPHRACT.TGA appears to be a scythian one to match the horse.

    You can add officers or standard bearers to any unit.

    But its actually located in export_descr_unit.txt. You just need to add a line for the officer, like so.
    I think it is parthia that just lacks an officer model/skin completly. But they do have the musicians and standard bearers. Light and heavy versions of them. If you ask me, heavy is better-looking. Horse Archer took a screen of one and posted it above. We will include them in the mod of course They seem to look ok, and fight ok, just the musicians dont ever use the instruments, just hold them stupidly, like they were a standard. We need someone to make a new animation for them, well, it would be nice

    There are macedonian skins for the hoplites, and armoured hoplites. i imagine alot of peaple already know about these, but i dont think id seen them mentioned here.
