Where is patch 1.2???

Does anyone in this forum know where on earth I can find patch 1.2?
I need it as my game will not install any of the later patches ( I have Barbarian Invasion installed but I intend to make a new clean install of RTW v.1 and then use the 1.2 patch, hoping it will install).

The abysmal byrinth of patches with this game is something unbelievable. No wonder some people have installed RTW 300 times!!!
This sim deserves an entry in the Guinness Record, under the category of GAMES OF TORTURE AND TEARS, in my view. If I were not Greek and did not desire so much to install XGM, I would drop the whole thing. I am working writing books on ancient Greek battles and curiosity has led me to want to play them in this engine, but curiosty kills the cat sometimes.

I have also realized that most of the data on Greek battles in this and in other related forums is wrong, and have posted a couple of threads providing some correct information in an effort to give modders a more solid background in order to make the sim more faithful, but I am not certain how much faithfulness the engine of the sim can give scope for and what limitations it has.

Someone in Greece recently told me there is a patch that makes it the highest version possible and one does not have to go through patches 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.6 etc--you run that all-encomapssing patch and it installs all patches at once. Is that true? The same man says he has it somewhere, but he cannot find it. (He is the type who loses all his CD discs and he can never find anything).

I might have lost some attention into the off topic greek speach that cluttered this otherwise technical problem so I might have missed some real info.
Still, the question is what are you trying to achieve? And first of all you need to find out what version your RTW is. If you are trying to get to RTW v1.5 you don`t need the v1.2 patch anymore. It is not hosted by the official site because of this. So, if you want to have a game that is at its latest version(RTW v1.5 and BI v1.6) follow the first part of this guide:

It is for RTRPE, not XGM, but it also tells you how to upgrade your game. And if you scroll down a bit you`ll see how to check and see what version your game is.

If you are actually trying to have a v1.2 game for whatever reason(though most if not all mods are for v1.5 nowadays) you should know two things:
1. most games nowadays come as v1.5 by default. If you have one of these you won`t be able to install the regular v1.2 patch and would need the zip patched which you aply in order to downgrade your game to v1.2. There is a longer thread on this in the Europa Barbaroum sub-forum. You could do a search for it there.
2. if you have the DVD version of the RTW Gold Edition you can not downgrade your game using the manual patch unfortunately and you`re stuck to v1.5 that you have.
