EB Script wont Activate

I just loaded up my Pahlavan EB 1.1 Campaign today and the EB Script won't start up. I tried exiting out, reloading, and even started a new campaign and the cript will not activate. I click on the "show me how" button, and it has no effect. I click on it again, there is a periodic slow down (that would show that it is working) then everything speeds back up and it is apparent the script did not turn on, there is no more 4tpy etc. Furthermore, the adviser won't pop again to let me try and enable the script. I have force diplomacy installed, and it really isn't for 1.1 (it's for 1.0) could that be the problem?


EDIT: It was the problem. I replaced EXPORT_ADVICE and EXPORT_DESCR_ADVICE back to their orriginal EB files and the script works now. Nevermind . I believe I saw a post that said they made Force Diplomacy for 1.1 so off to look for that.

I've had this problem with two installations now. The button is grayed out and unavailable.

Can someone elaborate on the fix?

I don't have Forced Diplomacy (unless it comes with the basic install).

Is your install clean? Did you mess up with script? If there are serious syntax error in Script file RTW wont allow you to start it. And original scrip file is fine.

I had this problem with the first EB 1.1 installation – where I installed over EB 1.0. But this is a fresh install.

One more thing: Are we supposed to use the EB Single Player shortcut created when installing 1.1? When I used it, I got to the point of selecting a Faction, clicking on the arrow to play, and then CTD.

Here is the installed shortcut: "G:\Rome - Total War\EBTrivialScript\EBTrivialScript.exe" -s ebconfig.xml -runeb -type "Single Player". This CTDed after selecting a Faction and starting the game.

I then made my own shortcut, similar to the one with EB 1.0.

"G:\Rome - Total War\RomeTW.exe" -mod:eb -show_err –nm

and now I’m in the game but no EB Script.

You have to click on the Advisor's Face, then click on the Show me!

But what is the correct Shortcut?

Grim Fiddler delete map.rwm and try again with your own shortcut ( dont use TrivialScript shortcut for this test ).

EB TrivalScript shortcut should work. It replaces edu and map.rwm files ( copied from sp/mp edu backup folder ).
Could you tell me what operating system you are using and where did you install EB ?
