Ahem. "Beiss will", not "Beiss i'll". What is it with you and apostrophes scattered all over the place anyway?

Mixed folk tunes and such. Some are new version of old, some are interpretations of old, etc

Are the melancholic "visor" anything that the mod team is after? I can provide some more if it's deemed appropriate but I don't want to waste anyiones time :p

Was listening to Wardruna (and by go they are brilliant!) and it reminded me of Gjallarhorn.

Kullning (this song is their crowning jewel imo)

For battles perhaps some North European folk metal bands? Like Metsatöll of Estonia:

The common culture of a tribe is a sign of its inner cohesion. But tribes are vanishing from the modern world, as are all forms of traditional society. Customs, practices, festivals, rituals and beliefs have acquired a flut and half-hearted quality which reflects our nomadic and rootless existence, predicated as we are on the global air-waves.

The team is very much against having metal music in the mod for whatever reason, but it can still serve as inspiration for non-metal music, so thank you.

What about traditional kantele music? The sound of kantele fits in well with Fennoscandian mythology.

Still not completely sure on the style of folk music you want, but here's some more additions anyway, in the worst case they might serve as inspiration.

Yeah, kulning is awesome, I wish I could find someone to sing like that for the WotN soundtrack. Thanks for the links, both of you. I've been trying to get some kantele-like sounds in there, too.

    Thanks!

After about 20 seconds in this song, you can hear Norwegian (-ish?) vocals. I'd like to find someone to sing like this, in addition to someone to do kulning and someone like Elolinona.

EDIT: Well, that was retarded. Here's the song I was talking about: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=441t9-Ouevs

Just to let you guys know:
I'm making a music mod, with my main purpose to be to bring the dark age feel to Medieval, for any mod to use (with permission of course). I am a composer and i've been writing music for several years now. I have given the WoTN team permission to use any of my music they want, so this may have solved their dilema (hmm.... that does not look right. ). It is very wardruna-esque, I LOVE wardruna's music. It's also very heavily laden with war-drums. Songwriting is going quite well so I think i'll have a short little preview in the next few days.

Scandinavian folk songs, many of which are from the Middle-Ages :

Øyonn Groven Myhren - Helleliti (Norwegian middleage ballad) :

Arve Moen - villemann og magnhild ( medieval ) :

    Norwegian lyre :

    Regin Smiður ( medieval ) :

Hans Brimi - Den blå slåtten - Norwegian hardingfele/fiddle :

Arve Moen Bergset - Margjit Hjukse ( medieval ) :
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6YFAe...os=rErxQTk0If8

Kalenda Maya - Olavs Haraldssons kappsigling (folk/middleage song) :

Børt-Erik Thoresen & Åse Thoresen - Kjempevisa om Reidar :

    Bukkene bruse - Haugebonden :
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JXJ5P...os=4KQxK_h38kQ

You'd probably want something with less vocals for the mod though, but at least here is a chance for those unaccustomed to it to hear more from the beautiful Scandinavian folk tradition.
