Issues with RTR v1.9 crashing my saved games

Hi all,
Having some big issues with [FONT='Trebuchet MS','sans-serif']RTR Platinum v1.9 crashing my saved games, so any advice will help![/FONT]
I installed RTW then BI (Note: Not the Gold versions but the separate titles), then installed BI v1.6 Patch the RTR Platinum Full Install v1.9.
Any way, things have been going quite well until about 174BC as I was about to finish capturing Gaul in a big three way battle. At that point (on the tactical map) I have completed my moves and press the turn button. The game went through the normal stage of running the moves of the other factions when the game totally crashed. Once this happened it the sent me back to Windows desktop…
No error messages, no nothing!
When I re-start and load the save I get the same thing. I tried the auto save with the same results. Tried re-installing the game from scratch, with the same results from the save games. Tried installing on a different system (notebook) with the same results (once I copied the save games over).
When I try and start a new campaign from scratch everything seems to work fine! So I’m a little lost as to what to do…
Am I missing something, or am I just unlucky to have a corrupted save game???
Note: My PC’s a few years old, but the spec’s exceed what’s required (P4 3.00Ghz with 1 GB RAM and a NVIDA GeForce 7600 GT Graphics Card) and seem fine?

Your PC isn't the problem for sure.. I had a similar one and it worked fine

Did you already try to find an answer in the RTR-PE Support Area? Many problems already have been answered there and, if you are lucky, you can also see if that solution has worked.

If it crashed right when hitting end turn it could be a revolt ctd in which case I recommend you install the hotfix for that.
If it crashed during another factions` turn it`s more complicated. Probably not the revolt ctd and the only thing you can try would be to use a script to change the factions, play as the factions that causes the ctd and hope you`ll get through it. This of course requires a bit of know how or otherwise you could screw it up more. Here`s the thread on this:

Thanks for the responses.

Unfortunatly I have tried all these options and more with no luck...

Ill pass on the script solution as being to hard...

Oh well back to beginning
