    Right Guys

    This is it, we first need to decide on the faction to play.

    options are

    Rome
    Carthage
    League of Greek City States

    I inclined towards the GCS

    Lets Vote

    Background:
    We the XGM forum community run a game by commitiee.

    We are the senate/ruling council of the faction. We make the strategic decisions for the faction by discussion and where necessary by voting.

    We may even get to play as the generals - I have some ideas on this.

    Other factions can be nominated other than the three above if there is a strong enough feeling for it.

    (deadline midnight 14-Apr-2008 GMT)

    Right So far

    Carthage it is ( I was wanting GCS though maybe next time).

    Mod Version = 5.6.7

    Difficulty = H/M

    Exe = Bartbarian Invasion

    AI Bonuses on

    Asia Minor Land Bridge Yes

    Loyalty off

    I voted Rome as they are popular with other mods but GCS tend to get overused in this mod. I know that is the whole point of the mod promote the GCS but everything you see is GCS... a bit long winded.

    You need at least fifty posts to vote in a poll, it's to prevent skewing the results with fake accounts.

    I won't be playing, but I'd go with Carthage, they are quite fun, and Rome and the GCS are over used.

    i voted carthage! greeks are overused...and the roman position will be tough. as carthage we have a few years to organize, plan, and execute....

    I voted Carthage. There are many Greek campaigns, as chazap said, and I like the challenge of the Carthaginian campaign. Plus, you have many different ways to play the Carthage campaign.

    I like Carthage's starting position and troop variety so it should bring an interesting campaign.

    so is Unknown Soldier playing the campaign?

    or is this a campaign where a person plays it then they e-mail the saved game to another person and then another person...etc.

    Atraps: I was in the process of formulating that next once we had decided on a faction.

    Yes that was one idea I was going to propose - branches of the family tree would be under the control of different players and the
    play -> save -> email on cycle would be used.
    Spys, diplomats and assassins the diplomatic corps would be under the control of at least one other person, and naval units would also be controlled by a player if transporting their armies and supporting the land troops.

    Hopefully we would have a war/foreign minister who decided, with senate approval, when and where to recruit troops.

    And a home office minister to decide on what to build in each region.

    Budget would be split 40:40:20 to War:Building:Spare/reserve

    Field commanders will petition the senate for troops/resources we will discuss and vote on these matters then the campaign moving/fighting will begin.

    These are just a sample of my incoherent thoughts on how it will work....
