CTD when i click on "faction destroyed"

Well, hi there. My laptop is pretty old. I installed rome a couple years back and it was totally ok. i uninstalled to make space some time back.

i reinstalled rome recently, but now when i click on the senate or "faction destroyed" drop down box it ctds.

i reinstalled windows xp and windows media player (all the plug ins too) a while back.

any help will be nice.

Downloaded any patches? I would.

I actually had this exact same problem. Patches work, but if you don't know how to do that simply dont click on the factions destroyed box. Go to the factions scroll and look at territory, that should give you some good clues as to who might have been destroyed. (obviously the one with no territory will be dead)


(also, If there is still problems, you might need to face the fact that your top is old. Give it a decent burial and get to Best Buy. I personally have had only failure result from playing Rome on a laptop in the first place, it runs so slowly.)

I keep accidently clicking on the faction destroyed box before hovering over it. It only happens when i let my guard down!!! Fiddlesticks
