SS 6.0 fo shall
Kingdoms Patch
Stainless Steel 6.0
this poll sucks
SS 6.0 fo shall
Just like the elephant animation, this Carthage scenario is actually in the game, it just has a small percantage factor for showing up, that's all..."we're way way pre-alpha and what that means is there is loads of features not just in terms of the graphics but also in terms of the combat and animations that actually aren't in the game yet.So the final game is actually gonna look way way better than this!” - James Russell, CA
Beware of scoundrels
it looks like everymod go well with the new patch then i don't see any problem for SS6.0 with the new patch
From Unspoken Knight (creator of Retrofit mod (upon which PDER is based) and employee of CA):

The fixes that should be picked up automatically include:
- Fixed exploit that allowed certain characters' stats to be raised by repeatedly saving the game.
- Fixed the family tree disappearing when a princess is married to General who becomes the Faction Leader.
- Fixed soft-lock that occurred with multiple armies on the battle map.
- Fixed crash that occurred when disbanding a unit whilst merging two armies.
- Crash after auto-resolving a siege battle from a hotseat save game no longer occurs.
- Crash that occurred when loading a battle from the campaign map edge no longer occurs.
- Kingdoms no longer crashes when playing battles after unpacking the game's data.
- Improved siege auto-resolve.
- DX10 Shadow bug
There are some relevant minor data fixes that will NOT get picked up:
- Fixed a number of inconsistencies between units' speech and their unit cards.
- Small black rectangles no longer appear on the campaign map.
I think most of the other fixes in the patch are not relevant for the Retrofit Mod.
Without re-testing all areas of the Retrofit Mod with the patch I cannot explicitly state that the Kingdoms Patch is fully compatible with Retrofit.
I can state that I believe the Kingdoms Patch should be fully compatible and doesn't change any existing data formats in the Retrofit Mod (or other Kingdoms Mods).
So it looks like most of the data (ie text file) changes are specific to the individual Kingdoms campaigns. The hardcoded changes mentioned should be picked up automatically by the Kingdoms.exe file.
6.0, even though I cant vote yet.
Sry but I dont follow the threads. Has King Kong assumed an attitude to release patch 1.5?
Just an opinion, but putting the option of "this poll sucks" in polls just makes people pick that because they think they are funny. I am sure all 20 of those people (ok maybe there are a couple short bus riders, so lets say about 18) have an opinion but for some reason think checking a "this poll sucks" option is funny and giggle all the way to the next post.
Having a "this poll sucks" just takes away from the actual results! Just my opinion, make them pick, even if they are immature! If anyone truly didn't care they could just not vote.
I agree with the above post, oh and 6.0 for me to plz...![]()
I put that option in all my polls. Why because actually some people might think this poll sucks. Read back a few pages and you will see. Some think this may be an insulting to CA, hell i think it's insulting to KK. (after seeing the patch that is) Unlike most elections or polls, i put this option in for those people.
Your vote is not public unless you make it. SO if anyone chooses this poll sucks to be funny well, you are not really concerned with the patch or the SS release so HAHA. And guess what this poll doesn't make a damn difference. It is just to get the feeling of the community on the issue of CA's patch and the anticipationi of SS. (So be funny if you want)
As far as make them pick or, they could just not vote at all. I say screw that. It is a third option that also shows either the people that don't care or the people that don't care enough to choose an option or are here just to have a little fun. I like fun by the way.![]()
I would love a little input from KK's part, what is the estimated release date of this mod? Are you perhaps waiting to imply the new patch? Info plz, I'am not angry but I do want to know how things are...
This is becoming another Rome Total Realism...![]()
No word from KK as of yet.
I can't vote on polls yet, but I would rather have SS6.0 than a bugged patch which took 6-7 months to be released, thank you very much.
Hello. I didn't understand yet. WILL SS 6.0 be compatible with the patch???
I guess no. So everyone that want to enjoy SS 6.0 cannot have the patch.
I voted SS

Well, I think the patch will make no difference for Stainless Steel 6.0.
As Unspoken Knight said, there are no major data changes which can affect a kingdoms mod much.
I'm finalizing 6.0 for patch 1.4, but I think it will work with patch 1.5, too.
The release of 6.0 will be very likely next week.![]()
I hope you have a bit more patience...
