Icon3 From Post-Marian Projects: What Barrack you prefer for Roman Auxilia?

Now Post Marian Project want all forumer opinion on Roman Auxilia should be recruit from which barrack between normal roman barrack and Auxiliary Barrack. And please discuss on this topic or how how should it like.

Choice 1: Recruit Auxilia from auxiliary barrack
Pro: More challage gameplay, more historical accuracy, adventage when conquer across culture as auxiliary barrack no need to demolish to build the new one like normal barrack, auxilia is auxilia anyway.
Con; Made Rome situation complicate after reform as their first unit in normal barrack would be legion at LV3 and made they have handicap to recruit unit in newly conquered region so Rome must relied on legion reinforcement from Italy.

Here is what roster would look like.
    Vigiles; Government Center
Legionary Cohort; Barrack LV3&Marian reform(-2 EXP at LV1-2 to help AI)
Legionary Cavalry; Barrack LV3&Marian reform(-2 EXP at LV2 to help AI)
    Urban Cohort; Barrack LV4&Marian reform
Legionary First Cohort; Barrack LV4&Marian reform&Rome
    Praetorian Cohort; Barrack LV5&Marian reform&Italia
    Praetorian Cavalry; Barrack LV5&Marian reform&Italia
    Light Auxilia; Auxiliary LV1&Marian reform
    Auxilia; Auxiliary LV2&Marian reform
    Roman Cavalry; Auxiliary LV2&Marian reform
    Archer Auxilia; Auxiliary LV3&Marian reform
    Cavalry Auxilia; Auxiliary LV3&Marian reform
Balearic Slingers; Auxiliary LV4&Marian reform&Post-Reform Monument(EXP -1)(Monument build in Carthage)
    Onager; Range LV1
    Balista; Range LV1
    Heavy Onager; Range LV2
    Repeating Balista; Range LV2
    Valite Gladiator; Amphitheatre LV1
    Samite Gladiator; Amphitheatre LV2
    Mirmillo gladiator; Amphitheatre LV3&Italia
    Bireme; Port LV1
    Trieme; Port LV2
    Quinquireme; Port LV3
    Corvus Quinquireme; Temple Naval LV4
    Decere; Temple Naval LV5

Choice 2: Recruit Auxilia from normal barrack
Pro: Easy for player to manage and handle roman army.
    Con: Historical Inaccuracy??

Here is what roster will looklike
    Vigiles; Government Center
    Light Auxilia; Barrack LV1&Marian reform
    Auxilia; Barrack LV2&Marian reform
    Roman Cavalry; Barrack LV2&Marian reform

Surely Local Auxillia should be in the auxilliary barracks

Regular troops of the Roman Army (including universal auxillia) should come from the regular barracks.

Fix the problem, not the blame!

I've thought about doing this previously. I see two problems with the idea. First, the Roman auxiliary units are all supposed to be trained in the Roman system, integrated into the Roman military forces, and even promised Roman citizenship when their service ends. That makes them rather different from the AOR auxiliaries who are supposed to be locals that continue to train and fight in their native style. Second, if the Roman auxiliary units are all moved to the auxiliary barracks, then there will be no units to train in the 1st and 2nd level Roman barracks.

Reason that I think have no unit for roman barrack at first or second tier because historically early legion rely all manpower from Italy and rome have to sent all their reinforcement from Italy(although at time of civil war they also recruit from some other west civilzed settlement) and spend longer time of occupation before city become fully function as Roman. So I think only can recruit Auxilia there is sensible and I think manpower of Post-marian legion is citizen in quite big city so barrack only useful at level 3 is sensible in my thought. I also agree with you that saperated would cause problem to management for both player and AI, this why I set up a poll to see public opinion.

I've stated my reasons before, but I have another to add.

If this were a game more devoted to complete historical accuracy, then I think going with maybe even a third barracks might be the way to go, however, XGM is mainly about fun, keeping much of the vanilla feel while adding some great features. I think moving the Roman auxilia to the auxiliary barracks would take away from this fun.

OK, look like I must honour public opinion anyway. So I think there are no change and roman auxilia would recruit in the same old normal barrack.
