    Default horde ability

Are there any mods for RTR that make use of the horde ability in BI. If not, this is an obvious add on for RTR VII. the Barbarian factions were historically known for their occasional migrations, especially the Germanic migrations into the western Roman empire (yes I know they occurred much later than this game's time period). BI also has the religion factor and the new shadow factions which are designed to give players more hassles with rebellions and what not. Have these aspects been incorporated into any RTR mods?

In addition, the provinces of the Arabian peninsula, the Levant, and where present day Iran is all usually somewhat poor during campaigns. This is historically wrong as many of those provinces served as vital trade routes leading from India and China. Rome and many other Med cities got much of their silk from these trade routes. And yet, in the game, controlling these provinces yields little or no economic advantage.

Joey had a mini mod that did that among other things:

It has been abandoned though and is not compatible with the latest version of RTRPE.

Some other mini mods might have done it too.

The Silk Road in RTW kind of stinks, so that problem will not be solved, unless they use tricks like making silk more valueble or increase the trade bonus of markets using a regional hidden_resource ...

If the historians are working on the silk road who`s doing the mod? Though I have to admit I`d sent one or two of them to bust their backs on the silk road.

    Good joke, my friend

Although sometimes I would send them to the silver mines, instead

You know, in RTR the historians tell the coders what is to be done, and then it's up to the coders to figure out how to do it

Whoever thought of a road made of silk anyway? Completely impractical.

Unfortunately I don`t have that picture anymore, but someone at the rtr forums had a graphic issue and posted in the technical support forum. What happened was that on a desert battle map the road was very smooth and shiny. No idea why he got that. But, Candelarius posted: why, that`s the silk road, renowned for its smooth, silky texture. That had to be the best graphical representation of the silk road in rtw`s engine.
