    Default Why Uninstall?

Hey, I was just curious, what is with the trend of uninstalling everything before you install 6.0? Won't it simply increase the odds of fragmenting your files, or is there something I don't know about?

Mainly because 6.0 probably wont do a very good job of overwriting 5.1, so you'll get file errors which will lead to CTD.

And you are correct about increased fragmentation, but I wouldn't worry about it.

If you unistall current version>defrag>install new version>defrag, then you get better performance and less risk of CTDs.
