HELP w Assigning Building Textures in MAX
Hey Everyone -
I need help with understanding how the model stores the information of the skin.
Building models basically have a conglomerant of skins tied into them -
What I am essentially asking is how do I get the model to save the information I assign it in the editor? I am getting it skinned ok just dont know how to make it stick?
I dont understand how the model is responsible for the texture information? How do I assign this?
Any Help???

For buildings you should just apply the texture to the model as a diffusemap in your 3d model editor.

Re: HELP w Assigning Building Textures in MAX
ok you have your model in max and its ready to texture.
1. go to render and then material editor.
2. somewhere in the browser that pops up there should be a maps section and in there a diffuse map with a button next to it. click it.
3. then click on the bitmap in the next selection.
4. select your bitmap.
5. select the model and then press the "apply to selection" button in the material editor.
This should get the texture onto your model
