CTD on start up

Sorry to be a pain. I'm having trouble getting this mod to start.

I have installed RTW to 1.5. I then used 7-Zip to extract the mod to the right directory. I then followed the fixes post for the permanent ones. I then ran the validation tool and i was told that i appeared to have a working install.

However, when i start the programme, i get the EB screen. The start movie and then the screen cuts to a map of the world with the icons of the nations around the edges. The green bar loads half away and then i get the CTD.

I have re-installed about 5 times, cleaning the reg and any left over files.
The game seems to start for the intro and then crash.

please help, very frustrating as i have read the rave reviews people are giving this mod.

Just a quick update. I found the problem in another thread about splash screen CTD.
Sorry for the wasted thread.
Problem appeared to be a missing preference file in the EB folder. Copied and pasted another's preference and it now works.
