Wallace you crashed my pc !!

What's the deal with william wallace and his 2105 strong army ?

Weird thing happened, turn 91 scotland decided to attack Dublin [my Dublin] as i am playing Ireland, but in all the confusion they left one city totally un-garrisoned, and another with only 2 legions. so i thought i might as well capitalize on this, taking Inverness in one foul swoop.

Next turn they have two full stacks roaming about the place. and they lifted the siege from Dublin, while all that was happening William wallace decided to show up with a 2105 strong army. I cringed as he headed straight for Inverness which regretably i only had 600 men in there.

Turn 93 Wallace attacks Inverness but the game crashes when loading the battle each and every time, this is not the first time it's happened, but it only happens when loading battles and only every blue moon.

There is only two real options here :

A: auto_win - which i really really don't want to do !!

B: i join all the other poor bastards in the tech subforums, which i most certainly don't want to do.

So while this thread remains in its natural environment, please for the love of god and Wallace tell me what to do, as i really really really want to fight this battle against Willy.

You know come to think of it i can't remember if it was already a city, but at any rate i would have turned it into one anyway.

Out of 35 settlements only 4 are castles.

Wallace pwns, as their men just doesn't start fleeing, they almost fight till death, unless I manage to kill the dirty b**tard... I had that CTD happen to me all the time till I found the hotfix

Sure i could have used the search function, but where's the fun in that.

Atleast this way i can make an ass out of myself and everyone is happy.

Thanx mate, we gave him hell !! ... sort of But i was really looking forward to fighting him and it was an epic battle, i just wish i had a full legion, that would have made it awesome.

I think ill'e let him rebuild his army, and have a rematch on open ground.

Yeah they are phsyco units, could you imagine if they had 112 men to a unit!!

I don't know how it happened but i actually routed part of his army in that battle, they must have pissed off one of my Muire units. lol
