Few questions about gameplay.
Unless any of these things are meant to be surprises for us, I'm just curious =]
1. Will recruitment be settled with this game in RTW style, or is it possible/would you/or planning on doing it STW style? Let me explain.
How like STW had specific buildings or combinations of buildings for certain units, such as spear dojo's for yari's, sword dojo's for no-dachi swords, and ninja dojo for ninja's. and like spear dojo + stable = yari cavalry, and archery range + stable = horse archers. Then if I remember correctly (i don't actually have the game, i just borrowed it from a friend for a few years), higher levels of the buildings increased honor.
Or how in RTW, it's more of a tech tree type thing. Like how lvl 1 barracks = infanty 1, and each level of barracks unlocks a new unit or give a unit you already have some extra skill, and you can get chariots without a stable (which i find kinda strange myself) whereas STW would have needed blacksmit + stable.
2. Sort of another recruitment question, will spies & ninjas be given their own building type in this game again, or will they still have spies recruitable at a market-level building and ninjas at an agora-level building.
3. Will there be a Kensai unit? Or will there possibly be Kensai as a berserker-type thing?
4. In RTW people will tell your diplomat they feel insulted, but they'll just tell him no and not talk to him for the rest of the turn. In STW I remember losing emissaries every once in a while because the person they were dealing with felt insulted.
5. Will the musketeers be in this game? If so, are there European traders in this game that are required to get gun buildings or will you perhaps get them at churches?
That's all I can think of for the moment

Hello, welcome! 
1. We have many different dojos, masterfully designed by Prometheus and Wundai, you can find them in the building thread, scattered around.
2. We have a tea house, but I'm not sure about the ninja den... Wundai might know, but I doubt we have it since we didnt take such a fantasy approach on the ninja issue. The assassin is represented by a ninja, but the team doesnt aknowledge the whole ninja-myth, he could be replaced by a basquet-monk.... For a quick read.
3. No Kensai, no berserkers.
4. I don't think that is feasable with the RTW engine.
5. Teppo Ashigarus and Teppo Samurais. And european traders, churches etc...

One thing if you could clarify though, does the many dojo's thing mean we'll be needing different combinations of buildings for one unit?

Yea, dojo or barracks, same thing to me!
Basically different buidings, but I admit I didnt know about the castle recruitement. Good thing there is no tier system as in M2TW, since technology evolution is hardly relevant, except for the appearence of guns and the professionalisation of Ashigarus... Thanks for the update!

Eh, I'll look for where everything's recruited when I end up playing to see how it works.
