    Default Making Historical Video

For a Latin class project Ive been planning on making a video with my friend showing how the Army of the Roman Republic fought. I also had a couple questions.

Does the Medieval total war 2 cinematic editor work with RTW? What do most people use to make videos in RTW?

Fraps is excellent for capturing ingame footage as Prince_of_Macedon recommends but, yes, the cinematic editor works in RTW also but ONLY for Custom saved games. If you do a search here in the forums, you will find advice and instructions on how to activate it and use it!

Fraps is usually best, but unless you get the full version, you will have to press the "record" button every 30 seconds to get the whole battle. However, if you have a large amount of disk space, I propose that you get Xfire, and use the video recorder on there. It's quite good as well, though it took up over 10GB of my disk space just to record it.

I prefer the RTW cam over FRAPS because the final product has no lag whatsoever, but the whole process takes a LONG TIME. I mean, you have to capture the .TGA pictures which takes awhile, then turn that into a string of picture files, then turn that into a video clip.
