Default [suggestion] decide which features you want

    I have a suggestion/request.
I enjoy playing your mod, but not as much as I used to. I love the education system and other roleplay elements. But there are also some new features that I don't like and annoy me.
So I was wondering, could you (before starting a new campaign) make some kind of list with checkboxes of features that you want in your campaign?

XD most of the features are more or less entwined so what you ask is for him to build like 40 separated files for each file he actually makes

the best recomendation here, do your own minimod, publish it here, the comunity will thank you, at least those with the same taste as yours

Regal rights. When you marry your princess to a prince, and if his family dies you can inherit his land by regal rights.

He meant Medieval: Total War. I don't think if this is correct, since whenever you or your enemy/ally/neutral moved an army in another/your territory it meant war and the battle couldn't be avoided. But on the other hand he's right, I remembe such a feature somehow... but I don't know if it really was Medieval or rather a similiar game... :hmmm:

Hmm... I don't think it was rome, since RTW is pretty much Medieval II. Maybe it could be Imperial Glory or something like this? Shogun was nearly the same as Medieval, it wasn't possible to cross allied lands...

Dammit, I can't remember. But I KNOW that some game had this feature, arrr... I also remember that telling your allies to get off your land did never really impress them, though

Could it really be Medieval? I just don't want to install the whole thing (came on 3 CDs + Add-On) just so check this...

I think you could tell your neighbour in the original Medieval to reduce their garrisons in their borderlands, couldn't you? But I'm pretty sure it wasn't possible to cross allied lands. I could be wrong though, since it's the same with me - I can almost see the games dialouge screen in fromt of me, but it misses the necessary details on what game it was

I just wanted that, cause i am sick and tired of putting one toe in my neighbors lands and getting a drop in relations, but the AI can run guys all over my prov and no change in relations happens at all. would just love to run up to the offending army and telling it get out or else.

Same with me, but I'm afraid diplomacy is hardcoded anyway

I think that in the first medieval you had the option to fight right away or retreat to your castle if you were invaded. At that point you might have been able to yell at the enemy to get out but i dont remember exactly... its been so long.

Its kinda funny i was just reading the wiki for METW and i had forgotten half the stuff, i guess for all the cool advances the game made in rome it took alot of steps backwards too since the original METW had alot of the stuff we want now but cant have bc of hardcode.

There were a lot of cool features in the original. Yea you did have the option to fight in the field or go into your castle but they probably got rid of that because there was no dynamic movement on the campaign map back then ( it's a pretty silly option when there is).

Still I couldn't believe they didn't have any heraldry in vanilla MTWII. What a step backwards as far as atmosphere ( Thank god for mods). Also if I remember correctly you could use assassins to kill your own family members (awesome)... And the stuff that happened with civil wars ( when you could choose a side ) was sweet. Imagine what the DLV crew could have done with those features if they weren't coded out? It's a shame.

It may have been Rome Total War you were thinking of. I remember that the AI could ask you to get off their land but not the other way around. Other games that work like that are most of the Civ games and I think Europa Univercalis games but I can't recall. I don't think I have ever seen a game where you could tell people to get off your land, other than by the sword that as.
