Default is there a way to mod this?

    hi

i know more or less what battle_config.xml and battle_ai_config.xml do with each line

i dont know how can i tell the engine to allow archers to shoot even while not perfectly formed.

that would be most useful coz now they wait till all unit is together to start shooting and units are prone to have one soldier stuck somewhere and skirmishing is harder this way

so, there is a way to fix this for missiles without affecting all other types?

Doesn't take skirmish off, if their within range and hitting the stop order allow them to shoot?

If the enemy is far away and i want my still moving archers to shoot i just give the stop order and they halt and start firing.

in earlier AIs i was able to tell the archers to shoot their bows at a melee opponent that has already engaged them.

    now i cant.

also when they got stuck inside some other unit, lets say pikes in formation, they spend too much time reforming

hmmm I usually give the fight order and swing another unit behind the one after my archers. or I beat a hasty retreat with the archers. never did what you did so i dont miss it, sorry.

Playing 5.5, haven't modded the above mentioned file, if your archers have auto fire off they will shoot at the enemy in close combat but you need to give the order over and over, every time aftert hey shot. Works on ground and wall level (turn on fire to see better).
