    Default Civil Rebelllion

How do you get civil rebellions to occur? I have had 2 generals/family members with 0 loyalty and the trait unleashed ambition for over 30 turns and they have not rebelled. Is there a trigger to make them rebel more? I'm not saying I want it to happen all the time, but I'm playing an Irish campaign and I don't attack, my rep is very trustworthy and I have many alliances, I was wondering to spice things up instead of making war with another country to get come civil war going, but no one will and I would think a general with no loyalty and the unleashed ambition trait would want to rebel.

when i had a city going rebel, i had a family member with 0 loyalty and the 'you are not my king' thing. but i think my faction leader had 0 authority aswell. dont know if this has anything to do with the other.

I believe if your faction leader has a lot of authority, it makes it harder to rebel.

oh but somthing i did witness is that if your faction leader dies, all the 'you are not my king' people do become loyal again

Well yeah... these are the ages when peoples and lands are tied together by lords not nations.

just completely abandon a city (that was not taken from another faction) and it will rebel.

You can also try sending em out with a small or no army, and they'll probably rebel right away. Garrisons make em more squeamish I think.

tax them until you squeeze every penny out of them, leave a small garrison and infest the city with plague.

then when you conquer exterminate them for rebelling

Just like the elephant animation, this Carthage scenario is actually in the game, it just has a small percantage factor for showing up, that's all...

That's very nice when it happens, just makes me think, NO ONE, BUT NO ONE BETRAYS ME! Thou shalt die for not obbeying thy rules!

I think plague actually increases public order because there are less citizens.

    idk for sure though

Once the plague has passed, yes because there are less citizens than there were before, public order will increase a bit. See, the black death wasn't as bad as history books say!

Anyone know how my generals get the trait "unleashed ambition and how to get rid of it?"

Well I could just answer Yes, but the trait is called Far_Loyalty and its gained by generals when they are far away or if the king is not near his capital. It can also be gained from taking over tempting targets like Jersualem, where he may be tempted to become his own king. Move them closer to the capital, as Near_Loyalty cancels, or get a new king.
