    Default Reform.

I have a really simple qeustion about the reforms in Rtr.

Do all factions have reforms? and when do they happen?

I know its a pretty basic qeustion, but i couldn't find any answers on this forum

Just Rome has the Marian Reforms. It occurs when you build an Imperial Palace in any city besides Roma.
Forget the Cod this man needs a Sturgeon!

Also, when this happens a few units of other factions are influenced by it. For the example the seleucids lose the xystophoroi and gain the cataphracts. This is not because the marian reforms have any connection with it, but because there were units for other factions that historically appeared later and this was made possible by using the event of the otherwise hardcoded roman reform.

What do you mean with that? A game thing in vanilla RTW or in real life history?

I think Junno was referencing history, but I have no idea. I imagine reforms took place everywhere, as cultures mixed and ideas and strategies differed.

I, personally, was slightly disappointed myself with the reforms that took place in RTRPE...I mean, yeah, where are the archers. Rome had archers. Surely???

You go and recruit them from the syrian regions. They`re an aor unit, not a faction unit. You won`t be able to train units made of eastern ethnic groups in the iberic peninsula no matter what buildings you have. Which makes sense in my opinion.
