    Default EDB question...

    Does anyone know if it is possible to edit the EDB so that an additional requirement for recruitment of a particular it would be the absence of a hidden resource. Basically like an AoR, but sort of the opposite.

    I essentially want to say, 'you can recruit this unit in settlements that do not have X hidden resource.'

    So you want the unit available everywhere except where hidden_resource X is?

    You can try just throwing and not hidden_resource, probably the only way to find out. I have never tried it but I have considered it.

    Another way you could do it is to script it so when the settlement is selected it checks for the resource and enables/disables a counter. That works best for player only situations though.

    Yeah, basically what I had in mind was a Highland and non-Highland unit tree for the grad campaign. So the idea is that, using the hidden resource 'highland', certain units would or would not be able to be recruited inside/outside of this area.
