    Default BC, good mod?

I have always played SS because it appears to be the best, most balanced, and most bug free of the mods.

I have now seen a huge fan base around this mod. Tell me, how does it compare with the balance and lack of bugs of SS? Is it right up to par with it?

I play total war since 2003, i ve tried the most famous and rewarded MTW2/KINGDOM mods ans believe me : BROKEN CRESCENT IS THE BEST ONE.

REALISM, AMAZING GRAPHICS, VERY GOOD AI AND DIFFICULTY

the only bad point to me is battle animations (units move way too slowly and fights aren't so dynamics and furious than darth mods' animation) but don't panic! BC is only 1.05! i m sure the team is working about this problem which is so small compare to the PERFECT job they made.

BC is overpowered compare to other mods

SS is a damn good mod BUT BROKEN CRESCENT bring your ass on Mars! SS is "classical" in sens that it brings you in traditional map and atmosphere (i played SS from 4.0 to the lastest version and i ll try 6.0) , BC is another universe, from Abbassid caliphate to India, a lot of caliphates and sultanates...and powerful christian states

    Couple of points to remember:

    - BC has many issues to sort out, when 1.1 is released sometime late April, BC will be in better standing on these 'balance' issues.
    - BC and SS are like apples and oranges. SS seeks improve and modify the basic vanilla setup, BC seeks to transport players to a new world and introduce them to new peoples and histories.
    - BC 1.0, was released in January 13th and is a total conversion mod. So not only is it fundamentally different animal than most other mods, its also very very young.

as mirage said, it's apples and oranges. bc focuses more on the middle east and stretches its hand to india. ss dynamically improves on the vanilla version of the game and adds more balance and gameplay. two great mods, can't say one is better than the other, but both are great ways to enjoy this game. bc is however the true first full conversion mod and does deliver a different experience than any other mod currently out for m2tw

    As for BUGS

For the most part theres one CTD but SS has the same problem, thats the click on to many factions trying to decide which interesting goody you wanna play bug. But other than that this mod rocks. and yeah apples and oranges, you can have both in the same bowl and enjoy each at your leisure. Thats what I do

Yeah I played tried out DLV for a European campaign and I'll try SS 6.0 but Broken Crescent killed ERE/Ayyubids/KoJ/turks for me in any other mod.

Is bad. Is very bad. Made by Uzbeks with bones in the middle of their brains.

Hey one of my room mates was an Uzbek!

And yes, he did have a bone for a brain... but thats not the point.

BC is a very good mod, one of the best.

Even though its still fairly small compaired to SS one of the things that you have to understand is that BC is made from scratch, every faction, banner and unit is new, even those that were in vanilla total war such as the Byzantines and Turks are so totally different that they might as well be considered different.

I have played SS and it just seemed a super-patch to me. My favourite part of Total War maps has always been the middle east mainly because wealth=massive armies. In BC you get that a plenty.
Who cares if we don't learn from History, its bloodly interesting.

Too much weird stuff happens for god not to exist

Ladies like superior firepower literally and metaphorically

England>Scotland and rest of the world, only the Welsh come even close.

Well, I've played SS 4.1 and I can honestly say BC outclasses it in every aspect.

SS adds stuff, sure, but it leaves things in which conflict, and it is highly ahistorical with the Templars in Tortosa right at the start of the game. SS doesn't seem realistic to me even though its gameplay is great, but BC in my opinion has better gameplay, much better realism and is overall finished far more comprehensively than SS, even in its infancy.

There's also the whole holy war thing which is COOLIES.

SS team released SS 5 times by now and they prepare for the sixth , so SS team have more experience than BC in my opinion . Though I can't say SS better than BC nor BC better than SS. But I think BC team had Excellent start indeed .

BC is an awesome mod, one of my favorite. Though that may be because the Middle East is my focus in college...

Sometimes while playing Muslim factions I really want to say,

“The nation that will insist upon drawing a broad line of demarcation between the fighting man and the thinking man is liable to find its fighting done by fools and its thinking by cowards.”

BC is an excellent mod with units that are much better than the vanilla MTW2 units. This mod is the best one that I have found!

I like BC because it's unique and extremly well done. The BC team is very capable and dedicated which is a large factor why this mod is such a succes. I think BC along with SS is currently the best mods out there, though BC haven't reached as far as SS yet, I have no doubt it will.
