    Icon1 Legions & AOR

So I've just started playing with RS. I had read the most important threads on AOR system beforehand, but have some questions.

I'm playing with Rome of course and guess I'm in the 1st phase, only a few turns passed. So I am only able to recruit Legion I units.

BUT if I right click on a region, other recruitable legion names come up. F.e. right-clicking anywhere in region Asculania, "VIII Augusta" shows up, but no VIII Augusta units are available (which is OK, as I'm not in the third phase). So is this right-clicking pop-up just preliminary information?

    ---

The threads suggest that a legion should consist of 9 cohorts, 1 1st cohort, 2 cavalry units, 2 archer units, 4 auxilia units and a General. Does this apply to the game-start Republican Legions? If this applies, which of the early units should be considered as the 1st cohort, triarii or the principes?

The right-click info is only for later in the game when the named and numbered imperial legions are available.

And the legion composition only applies to the named legions as well.
For the early republican maniples legions which you start the game with, a mix of hastati, principes, triarii, velites and equites is recommended as a historical composition.

my legions are diffrents to the guide lines but for republic i just used triarii for my legion i got had 20 triarii for my legions becuse every thing ell i found weak any histroicly i dont know much i think its was first line hastai then princpes then triarii so you could have 5 hastai 5 princpes then 5 trarii then have 1 genral 2 chavary and 2 missle units maybe

if you want to stick with realism, it would be mostly hastati, then some principes, and lesser amount of triarii, in that order.

I normally like to use 5 hastati, 5 principes and 3 triarii. This normally goes with:1 gen, 4 cav (1 is normally another gen), 2 velites
