I just started playing MTW2. I got a question. Can archers after they use all their arrows load their arrows somehow? Like at the town center or something.

Not to the best of my knowledge, although it'd be cool if they could reload at the town archery range or something during a siege.
It's a good idea though, Arrows were expensive though so maybe it would mean a cash penalty everytime an archer reloaded their quiver.
Could be a good feature for Empires, but instead of arrows you could reload your shot pouch
The Lord tells me he can get me out of this mess...but He's pretty sure your @#$%^&
Castles expecting a siege as well as armies expecting to siege them both welcomed the siege with shltloads of ammunition for months and months of shooting. It is really whacktarded that an archer unit on the walls can definately run out of ammo, when there's an archery range just 20 meters away.
Maybe they took all the ammo from the archery range before the battle, that seems like a good enough excuse.
Maybe in a multi-walled castle they should be able to restock at each level, to give you more reason to make an organised retreat once a wall is breached.
To make it simple enough, archers defending in a siege battle with at least 1 archery range should have unlimited ammo.
Maybe someone could figure out how to edit the scripts so it's possible...
I think the point of a siege is that your 'cut off' from your supplies (Like for instance, wood). So it wouldn't make any sense if your archers had un-limited supplies of arrows regardless if there was a building within your city that could make them.
yea u might be cut off but 1 turn eqauls a couple of months to perpare thats along time to get a couple hundred thousand arrows if you read historic batles you will see that some siges last as long as a year
siege of antioch first crusade ocrtober 21st 1097 to june 2 1098 thats along time i think they had tuns of thousands of arrows to last that long
siege of acre third crusade august 28th 1189 to july 12 1191
Welcome to the forums, GSM-S.
I don't think you are asking; but in case you did not know... Archers replenish at the end of each battle. even if archers fight multiple battles within a turn, they start every battle with a full quiver.
I think a neat feature would be that ranged warriors within a city got double ammo.

A tad nasty to seige a town, though, methinks?
Isn't there an option for unlimited ammunition? Also, you could modify the number of rounds/arrows the unit has by changing the descr_unit entry in the data file.
Longbowmen used to retrieve their arrows from the battlefield. As has been mentioned, they were expensive (and time-consuming) to make.
Outside seige scenarios, obviously, an archer can only carry a limited supply of ammo. Perhaps a supply wagon unit could provide mobile replenishments? Or if you captured the ground you were raining arrows down on, you could retrieve a percentage of them that were undamaged.
