    Default Godly Flemish pikeman

    If this is a bug please move it to the appropriate forum .


    In my french campaign i got some trouble with those guy so i runned 2 test on custom battle


    setting hard i always take french ai is flemish

    1x flemish pike vs 1x armored sergent swordmen = crushing defeat

    1x flemish pike vs 1x foot knight templar = crushing defeat

    that dont sound right too me at all ...


    Even the unit stats talk for themself

    flemish pike 10 attack
    1 defense
    1 charge

    foot knight templar attack 14
    defence 21
    charge 4

    how the hell can they crush my heavy infantry that easy ?? :hmmm:

    the well known pike bug "fixed" with no second weapon, that gets them "too overpowered"

    in no secondary weapon mods they normally have like 2 or 3 attack at most, maybe when adding my edu numbers repman added pikes primary attack and then removed secondary without noticing this.


    check my sig. install my files and test again.

    feedback is always welcomed.


    (reccomended to run test with 5 units on each side or something like that so to let the AI to do some formations or it may actually not use one and it would look buggy again)

    i just made a quik test again with your files and my templar took only 10 lost and routed the flemish pike pretty fast that look more realistic for me

    lol realistic in MIITW terms. Not in historical terms.
    swords were a secondary weapon, not a 1st. A wall of pikes will defeat swordsman simply because their weapon is longer.

    dumbest part about pikemen is that infantry cant even penetrate the pike wall at all. would make it alot more historically accurate if the super long pikes were just removed and have everyone use voulgier length pikes.. even units like byz spearmen and voulgier are ridiculously powerful but not to the point of being able to strong an entire army like the long pikes.
