Can't update MTw2 nor play any mods

Since the patch 1.2 can't be installed of some reason I can't play a good version of MTW2 nor can I play any mods from the community. I have tried to install patch 1.1 and that worked perfeclty, which makes me suspect that the patch 1.2 has problems. I ahve also tried to download the patch form about 6 different websites and that hasn't worked either. it always ssays one or two files of the patch are corrupt. I have also sent an E-mail to CA and they haven't answered either. is there anything else I can do? Because I want to play the game, but I don't want to play an old problematic version of it.

Do people here have any explanation or a way of helping me?

Uninstall the game. Delete the Sega Folder. Reinstall the game. Install 1.2 patch. Install the 1.3 patch. What OS do you have?

I did unistall the game, I reinstalled it and then I tried to install patch 1.2 several times. And sorry for being so untechnical but waht is an OS?

I have Windows XP.

I did have it installed a few months ago. And then I stopped playing MTW2.
When I wanted to play it again I tried to install the mod and I couldn't. it asid some files in teh patch were corrupt ( infected) and that I should download a fresh version of the pack. So I tried several other websites and the same thing happened again.
