If anyone has a claim on the Falklands, its Spain. At the least the nation actually bloody owned the land! But even that claim is loose, considering the Falkland islands were a colony. Which, to me, is a hell of a lot different than national territory...
You have it correct. When Argentina broke free from Spain, part of the deal involved the Falkland Islands. It didn't seem to matter that Spain did not own the Islands at that time. Stupid President...
Next, the Spanish will be wanting Gibraltar.
