INVALID CD KEY?!?!?!?!?!?!

hello

Recenrtly my friend reformatted his computer and when he went to reinstall medieval 2 the worst happened: he couldnt find his disc 2.

I lent him my disc 2 so he can play.

He managed to install the game and the campaign worked fine.

But when he tried to go online it would say invalid cd key

I dont get it

He used his disk1 and my disk 2 BUT he used the CD jey that came with the game He bought

Any thougts?

TYPO on entering the cd key. You will need to go to the registry to change the key IIRC.

Run
regedit
OK
Double click on the tree until you reach
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/SEGA/MEDIEVAL II TOTAL WAR
Double Click on CD key
Change the value and click OK
File
Quit
