Language issue

I'm pretty sure that this has been asked several times before, but I searched the forums for like an hour now and can't find an answer.
I installed MTW II and Kingdoms, DLV 5.0 and the 5.5 patch. Since I'm german and want to keep the texts german, therefore I kept the option for the nonenglish option checked.
But when I now start the game, everything is in english. Are the texts always in english or did I made anything wrong?

So basically I want to know if it's normal that everything is english now, although I installed it in German.

Another thing that I noticed: When I try to play the Main Campaign, the game stucks when I click on "Play". I don't know, maybe I have to wait 5 minutes, but it's a bit strange...
I use Windows Vista btw. Is there anything different with the installation? I tried to run the exe in the XP SP 2 compatibility mode, but it doesn't change a thing...

The non-English version is regarding the sound files which makes sure you don't install the English version. Certain non English M2TW installations will CTD if they use English files. As regards the text being in English, I think repman has a german version hosted on a German Medieval forum. If I'm correct you'll have to wait until repman gets here for the link.

The pause at the start of the campaign is the map being regenerated, perfectly normal. Once the map is there it wont take nearly as long next time .

Is this the german version or the same mod, only hosted on a german site?

edit: can anyone say me how I can change the language of the mod now? Is this possible or do I have to reinstall the whole patch?
