War. Overpopulation. An unstainable planet. Lack of resources, etc etc.

Think about it, if governments spent less money on arms and defence and immigration and put their money into oh say, space travel, the search for other economically smart and renewable resources or did that with other planets, could not then global warming be a good thing?

Climate change forcing people to act once they really begin to say what is happening to the planet, whether that may 5-50 years from now? Could not then we go and exploit other planets and the moon, and rather than concentrate on wiping each other out, we can concentrate on supporting our race as a whole?

Aliens will probably come by in a couple hundred years, if that, and find we've killed off the whole population of the planet through human error and laugh at our misfortune.

We'd look like idiots to aliens! Who wants that? So why the hell not concentrate on the outer speheres of our existence, which includes space, and stop focusing on by giving SO MUCH MONEY to these internal problems, like war, civil war, arms industries, and the like.

Aliens would come by and just see ants killing each other and they would notice the potential we have to be a great space-faring competitors to these alien things but would see we've put all our focus on technology and advancements into war, into a single bomb.

War advances technology so much, so why not create a war with the universe, conquering other planets and exploiting their resources rather than drying up all our own. We are locusts on this planet, so why not locust off to other ones?
