    Default The difference?

Ok, so what's the difference between "Fair Fighter" and "Winning First"?
I know about the attribute difference of course, but I can't seem to understand what triggers them. Do you get "winning first" if your army hugely outnumbers the enemy army? I've tried anything from fighting with the general himself, to keeping him out of the battle... It's just annoying to get for example "winning first" when you want to get a general with high chivalry

Fair Fighter is when you and the enemy are of more or less the same strength in numbers and experience and skill.
Winning first is when you outnumber the enemy vastly, not necessarily in numbers, but in skill.
Also Fair fighter gives you a chivalry bonus, whereas winning first give you a dread bonus.
I was born chivalrous, but situations made me a dreaded.
