i did the whole unpacking and everthing and the command prompt went through stuff for like 5 minutes but when it was done it closed out automatically (don't know what it normally does) but then i tried to deleate the 2 things i'm supposed to in the data file but all that was there was 5 files named Animations, Cursors, Fmv, Sounds, and World now i do have M2TW:K and i did not unpack those. this is kind of a second question too but, does the unpack all also unpack kingdoms or what i don't know whats going on i'm new too modding and want to get into it but i don't want to start playing with stuff i know nothing about.

    Thank all

P.S. if you have anyother advice for me as a new guy to modding please PM me, i want to become a game designer in the future and why not start with modding anything you guys have to share will be much appreciated

    No folders, files.
And there are a few folders already existing before you unpack.

Something's not right because it always took me longer than 5 minutes to unpack this thing. Do you have Vista?

Did you turn off the UAC (Adminstrative Controls)? If not, do it, unhide everything and you will find them buried.

Look elsewhere for the unpacked files, because the destination may be different. Also, the unpacker does not do the Kingdoms files, there is a file for each of those campaigns. Do a search on your computer for export_descr_unit and export_descr_building and see if there found in 2 different locations.

Since you found the unit file, the unpacker did not work for some reason. How did you answer the questions in the unpacker?

Right click on the unpacker.bat and select edit and post the contents of the file.

IIRC, that should unpack in the root folder. I will look when I get home. Also in the data folder, how many folders are there?

Only one of those files needs to be unpacked, the other is in data. After you unpack, how many folders in data do you have?

Run the unpacker but change the .bat to:

    unpacker.exe --source=..\..\packs\*.pack --destination=..\..\nate2tw --verbosity=1

It should create a folder called nate2tw I believe in the Sega Folder. Do a search for it, and since I gave it a unique name, it should be easy to find. Let me know.

Right click on the file, uncheck Read Only, Click Ok. Then reopen the file.
