How do you install RS so that you still have vanilla and can still install other mods?

I understand that you make multiple copies a folder, but I am unclear as to what goes into each folder, etc.

Do you copy everything in the RTW main directory into a subfolder, along with the exes, then install the mod into the subfolder and then create a short cut to the exe in the sub-folder?

Copy your entire RTW folder into the same directory where it already is and install the mod there. So you have a RTW folder and a "copy of RTW" folder, which you can rename to RS or whatever.

So each of the folders is a different copy of RTW, each with a different mod installed.

I don't - mainly I play RS (of which I have three versions installed...), the others are on there because I discovered them before RS and do still occassionaly play them for old times sake. Particuarly RTR as that was the first mod I ever downloaded for RTW.
