Default Changing the character's aging speed

Is it possible to change the aging speed of general's/princesses etc?
At the moment they age 1 year per 2 turn so the only have a correct aging speed if I'm are using 2 turns per year.
I just don't like seeing somebody living for several hundred years in campaign.

Change the speed of the whole campaign, search for turns per year, then you can change the rate that all generals age.

Alas, this does not work that easily. The game is coded so that generals age one year every two years. Its been a while since I have heard this question, but I think that is how it works.

they live for so long because you only have a few generals. If they died faster you would loose because of lack of family members.

AFAIK, it's coded so characters age once every turn you have winter. Check out this thread, at the bottom of the OP there's an example of a script to make winter occur once every four turns, thus making your characters age slower.

What I want is the character to age faster i.e. aging 1 year every turn like in MTW.

Is this compatible with mods like DLV and Stainless Steel?

I think so, just don't overwrite the DLV or SS campaign_script.

Make a backup of the file incase it doesn't work, then open the modified campaign_script and find the beginning of the modified aging code then copy the entire code into the bottom of the DLV or SS campaign Script.

I did this with all the kingdoms expansions, retrofit, LTC Gold, WinningCombo Mod andit worked fine for me so it should work for SS and DLV

It works man, I copied the part in the file and just added into the sequence and sure enough my guys are aging 1 year for 1 turn.

I wonder how it will affect the AI? Or for that instance, what triggers the new family member.

Keep up the great work guys, I love this stuff.

The problem of this is that characters die very fast. If I put 1 year every 2 turns, like in Rome Total War, to solve it, all the factions have pikes and 1500's units before the discover of the powder, which is very weird, and I don't like it.

Anyway, it seems to be a great improvement if I find the way to change the cities growing speed, in order to avoid having king's stables in 1250.

You just reminded me of something that might help with this. The reason I found Stainless Steel was because I was looking for a way to play the game with 1 turn for 1 year, and for god sakes show the year. When I was reading a thread it talked about moving events and the like back since I think it is coded in turns instead of years, and for the city growth what if cities could grow bigger and perhaps city/castle levels require larger populations.
