Unable to start MIITW - Error box with no text

Hello all,

I am having problems with MIITW much like the rest of the world. I played it, unpatched, fine for months. Then I tried to apply version 1.1. I am now unable to load the game. When I click on the shortcut to start the game, I get what looks like an error box that only has a yellow triangle with an exclamation point in it. There was no unspecified error prompt or anything.

I tried to follow the unpacking guidelines listed in the readme. When I click on the unpacker, nothing happens at all. I look for unpacked files…nothing. I thought that I would just uninstall and play the original version w/o the patch. I couldn’t uninstall because I am getting the “setup.exe” error.

After about a week of trying to research the problem, I am finally asking for help. I tried many of the suggestions on many of the different forums to no avail. It doesn’t help that I don’t know much about the intricate details of how games run on the computer. I mean, I don’t even know the difference between a registry and a directory (if that is even what they are called).

Please let me know if there is anything that can be done to help my ‘computer illiterate’ self. Otherwise, I have MIITW just taking up space on my hard drive and I can’t even get rid of it.

Completely uninstall. Delete the Sega Folder. Reinstall the game, then 1.2 patch then 1.3 patch and repost. Also take a pic and attach the Yield Sign.
