    Default Forts and Castles Zones of influence.

    Searched around a little bit, didn't really see anything related to Zones of inluence. An what I mean by Zone of influence is the power projected by Forts and Castles, as not just one space next to the Fort or Castle.

    My thoughts on this are as follows, the bigger the castle the more influence.
    Say a wooden fort would have small area of influence and a stone fort more an so on up to the largest Castles an such.

    Another way of looking at it is when you come on to a Stone fort, you would have to make a wider turn around it, than a wooden one.
    I did see this ideal somewhere, having both wooden and stone forts on the map, making the later cost more than a wooden.
    An a wooden would go away when left empty after a turn. As it is now the stone forts stay around for along time, not sure how long just DL this mod the other day. Noticed that the Scots almost built a wall of stone forts along its border with England, got a good laugh from that.
    An loving it, great Mod!
    For the details on how to make it work, not going there. Don't have clue, the ideal just popped into my mind while playing. Why build forts, usually right in front of bridges only. Why not have Forts and Castles have zone of influence like in history. Of course having Castles are a big part for the different types of troops they offer, but it was not their only use in history.
    Thats all for now. thnx

    Thanks, I really like this idea a lot. I shall have to mention it in the DLV Developers forums. And with the new Kingdoms patch fixing stone forts on the battlemap this would go very well.

    No they are not all wooden forts.. I placed some stone forts on the strat map at the start that are stone forts on the battlemap. When the new patch comes out for Kingdoms all forts in this mod will also be stone forts on the battlemap.

    So if I patch Kindoms with the latest patch then the forts I build in your mod will be stone forts on the battle field? Or do I have to wait for your Patch?

    @Radioman,

    If you have installed patch 1.5 already then you can unpack it again and copy over the updated files to my mod folder and have working stone forts now.

    Or you can wait for my new patch which will include working stone forts on the battle map.

    Thanks Dave, but I got impatient and patched kingdoms yesterday...Everything went well with your mod as far as building stones forts and having them appear on the battle map..

    I still remember when you started this mod...at the time neither of us had any rep rings, if I recall correctly...Look at us now, I have gotten mine and you're about to be crowned and rightfully so...You're mod is still the best around and getting better from what I've read in regards to your up coming patch...Thanks for everything Dave.+Rep
