To take a screenshot, the easiest way would be to just click the print screen button in the upper right corner of your keyboard and then open up some image editing program, probably paint, and paste it.

Of course, that just isn't really fast. So you can go download some screenshots program. I happen to use fraps as I like the fps function as well.

You can find some hints as how to create a good screenshot in this thread. For taking the screenshots themselves I recommend a freeware screenshot program like FRAPS or Howie's quick screen capture. I've experienced some stability issues with the latter, but it has the advantage of being able to save the pictures in the .JPG format. FRAPS uses the disk-hogging .BMP format by default, and .JPG only becomes available when you buy the registered version. R:TW itself also has an internal screenshot feature, but for me it turns up blank images (apparently related to the anti-aliasing settings).

To show the screenshot in a post, upload it to an image hosting site like ImageShack or Photobucket. I've never used Photobucket, but ImageShack will provide you with the tags required to make a screenshot show up in a post. If it does not, simply copy the image's URL address (which can be found be right-clicking the image and selecting properties), and use the "insert image" button of the "post reply" page.

Fraps does use the bitmap format by default. So I usually just manually go into the pictures and save them as a jpeg.
