Default Saxon conversion? and Rat problem?

I'm playing as the Saxons right now, and I have taken All of the Roman Britons (white) settlements, but one which is there farthest one. My Economy is doing well but I keep getting rebellions, all because of Religion and a lot of Rats in my capital. How can I convert My pagans cities in to Christian? I cant even build Christian building in the Christian cities, so I cant really expand the religion. My leaders sons will always become pagan even though thy were raised in a Christian settlements.

The other problem is a huge rat infestation in side my capital, I have built all types of heath buildings but still nothing is happening.

Is the Christian religious spread scripted to be triggered at a certain date like 600 ad if the mod goes that far?

Many of the Barbarian factions that expand into long held territories such as the Saxons in the British Isles are seen as oppressors and this will be displayed from the core building(the governors residence)as a negative bonus in law and happiness. This isn't scripted but modified in the export_descr_buildings. The Saxons as they spread will have there hands full with some pretty pissed off Britts thus expect the rebellions.

Concerning the rats, well work on making them people happy first with happiness and law buildings. This is probably causing the most of the unrest.

I think it takes a while before you start seeing those Christian leaders after Christianity takes hold but as the Saxons I wouldn't worry about changing their religion so early in the game. I would recommend conquering segments of the Island and then focus on the regions law and happiness. Also ruthlessly crush rebellious cities with extermination. Aim at becoming the Saxon Bretwalda..An ancillary will appear for a Saxon king worthy...He must be a pagan.

Thanks for the help So far Ive made a pagan reform and destroyed all Christian Buildings and made them pagan. I had many rebellions but crushed them, now my people are happy! How long does the campaign go to, does it go up to 600 ad or past it?
